What Office Cleaning Covers

The nightly or weekly scope on most offices looks like this.

  • Desks, work surfaces and shared tables wiped and disinfected
  • Restrooms cleaned, disinfected and restocked where consumables are supplied under the contract
  • Kitchens and break rooms, including appliance fronts and sinks
  • Hard floors swept and mopped, carpet vacuumed
  • Interior glass, partitions and entrance doors
  • Reception and waiting areas
  • Trash and recycling emptied and relined
  • High touch points: handles, switches, rails, lift buttons and shared equipment

The list is a starting point. We agree the scope with you against the building rather than issuing the same checklist to everyone.

Working Around Your Hours

Almost all of our office work is done after hours. Crews arrive once the building is empty, which means no vacuum noise during calls and no cleaning cart in a corridor at four in the afternoon.

That requires key or fob access and an alarm code, and it requires us to be reliable with both. Access procedures are agreed in writing before the first clean, and the crew assigned to your building stays the same so you are not issuing codes to a different team every month.

What Happens First

We walk the building with you, usually within a few days of the call. That covers the square footage, the floor types, the restroom and kitchen count, the access arrangements and anything specific you want handled. The quote follows from that walkthrough.

There is no charge for it and no obligation.

How Often an Office Needs Cleaning

Most offices run nightly or three nights a week. Smaller professional suites with low footfall are often fine weekly.

The frequency is usually set by the restrooms and the kitchen rather than the desks. A twenty person office can go several days before the desks look it, but a restroom used by twenty people needs attention daily. If budget is tight, the sensible compromise is daily restroom service with a lighter general clean on alternate days, rather than stretching everything out evenly.

What Makes an Office Clean Hold Up

Three things, and none of them is effort on the night.

The same crew. A crew that knows a building knows that the second floor kitchen gets heavier use, that one meeting room is always left untouched and another is used daily. That knowledge does not transfer on a schedule sheet.

Separated equipment. Restroom cloths and mops never touch desks or kitchens. This is standard in healthcare and it should be standard in offices too, because the alternative is moving bacteria from one to the other.

Floors on a cycle. Hard floors need more than mopping. Without periodic stripping and waxing the finish wears through in the traffic lanes and the floor starts to look tired no matter how often it is cleaned.
